Version 2026-10-10-draft
DRAFT. This document is a working draft. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet and may change before submissions open.
In plain English
- We collect your name, email, date of birth and what you submit.
- We use it to run your account, review submissions and pay creators.
- Submissions may be screened by US-based AI services that do not train on your work.
- We never sell your personal data.
- You can ask to see or delete your data.
What we collect
Account details (full legal name, display name, email, date of birth), records of the agreements you accept (version, time, IP address, browser), what you submit (films, scripts, ideas, releases, thumbnails), messages you send us, and basic usage logs. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.
How we use it
To run your account, confirm you are an adult, review and rate submissions, prevent abuse and fraud, answer help requests, pay creators and meet legal duties (for example tax forms and takedown requests).
AI screening
Submitted films may be checked by an automated pre-screen, and scripts and ideas may receive an automated coverage read, before a person reviews them. The processors are Google Cloud (Vertex AI, US region) and Amazon Web Services (Rekognition, US region), used under terms that do not allow them to train their models on your content. AI never makes the final decision. Your films are never sent to servers in China.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the site for us (Supabase for the database and files, Vercel for hosting, Mux for video, Stripe for payments, Google and AWS for screening, our email provider). We share information when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
Keeping and deleting
We keep account data while your account is open and for a limited time afterwards. We keep agreement and review records, and copies of submissions, for up to 7 years as evidence of what was received and agreed. You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it (some records we must keep).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or limit use of your data. Contact us using the Need help? button or the contact page.
Children
Accounts are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
