In plain English
- Ratings use our own MoovieScale: All, 7, 13, 16 and 18 Mature.
- Artistic nudity is allowed only at 18, and only for fictional adult characters at launch.
- Never allowed: anyone who is or looks under 18 in a sexual or nude context, sex acts, genitals, real people without consent.
- Every film is AI pre-screened, then reviewed by a person.
MoovieScale
All: suitable for everyone. 7: mild peril and cartoon action. 13: moderate violence, some language, brief non-sexual partial nudity. 16: strong violence and language, implied sex, brief artistic nudity of fictional adults. 18 Mature: artistic nudity of fictional adults, strong themes. MPA marks (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17) are never used.
Hard lines (never allowed)
Anyone who is or appears to be under 18 in any sexual or nude context. Sexual acts, genitals or pornography. Non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-made. A real person's likeness or voice without signed consent. Hate, harassment, credible threats or content promoting self-harm. Infringing music, footage or characters.
How review works
An automated pre-screen flags possible problems with timestamps; a hard-line flag puts the film on hold for a person to check. Reviewers confirm or raise the rating; lowering a rating needs a second reviewer.
Reporting
Report anything that breaks this policy from the Report page. Intimate images shared without consent are removed within 48 hours of a valid report, as the TAKE IT DOWN Act requires.
